Review: Fifty Shades Darker by EL James

Fifty Shades Darker - E.L. James

I actually attempted to continue reading this series .... I do not know what came over me. I think I must have begun this second candidate for the recycling box when I was really sick with a chest infection and stuck in bed for a week. That was a really bad week ..... I was coughing up green stuff, lost the power of speech and was basically so sick I didn't know what I was doing. I'm not making excuses for my incredibly poor judgement, I'm just saying I wasn't entirely of sound mind when I opened this book. Plus a week in bed is incredibly boring, and believe me, it was an intense rip-your-own-arm-off-just-you'll-have-something-to-do kinda boredom and desperate times call for desperate measures.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I could not bring myself to finish this vomit inducing piece of crap. It's just more of the same anyway, isn't it? Mentally ill Christian Grey bullies, manipulates, controls and harasses naive, childish, empty headed Ana .... And blah, blah, blah off into the sunset. It is beyond me how there can possibly be a third book in this dire series.

And one more thing .... If I ever hear Ana mention that fucking inner goddess ever again I will be forced to beat her to death with that arm I ripped off earlier. Seriously, that girl needs to get her shit together and get some medication or something ....
